The Lynell King and Valerie Davis Empowerment Scholarship and The Donald L. White Legacy Scholarship are awarding two $10,000 scholarships annually, honoring family legacy and investing in the next generation.

Coby and Grant Williams worked with local youth at the MODA Center to share the joy and importance of photography in telling the stories of Black history. Through an Uptown photo walk alongside local creatives, students captured the rich history that precedes us.

WCNC's Danielle Stein sat down with Coby and Tia to discuss CWFF's new scholarship program, two $10,000 awards for rising freshmen at five North Carolina universities, honoring the legacy of their father Donald L. White and aunts Lynell King and Valerie Davis.

In a feature by WCNC, Coby reflects on growing up in Goldsboro, NC, one of the state's poorest cities, and his return as a Charlotte Hornet. Tia and family share the values their late father Donald instilled and how CWFF is bringing those values full circle.

The first annual CWFF Youth Giveback Community Day brought Goldsboro youth to the Goldsboro Family YMCA for four stations: custom hats and socks in Art, meditation and journaling in Mind & Wellness, drills and scrimmages in Hoops, and making beats with AI in Music. CWFF also presented a $5,000 donation to the Goldsboro YMCA.

The next day, Coby hosted more than 150 kids in grades 1 through 6 at the Dean E. Smith Center in Chapel Hill for hands-on instruction from him and a staff of top high school and college coaches.
