The Pointguard Who Gives Back
“I WANT TO CONTINUE TO FIND WAYS TO
Pave The Way
FOR THE YOUNGER GENERATION”
Currently in his sixth NBA season with the Chicago Bulls, Coby White has cemented himself as a key player for the franchise. Drafted 7th overall by the Bulls in the 2019 NBA Draft, Coby has become an integral member of the team. Following a strong rookie season, he was named to the NBA All-Rookie Second Team in 2020.
Known for his versatility, Coby excels at scoring, facilitating, and creating offensive opportunities for his team. His basketball journey began with an impressive foundation in high school, where he played for Chris Paul's AAU team, CP3. It was here that Paul recognized Coby’s talent and passion for the game, eventually becoming a mentor to him.
His time at the University of North Carolina further solidified his reputation, where he became the all-time leading scorer in North Carolina high school basketball history with 3,573 points. At the close of his senior season, Coby was named North Carolina’s Mr. Basketball, the state's top high school player, and earned a spot on the ACC All-Freshman team in 2019.
Coby’s other notable achievements include:
Two-time Gatorade Boys Basketball Player of the Year for North Carolina (2016-18)
McDonald’s All-American (2018)
Jordan Brand Classic Participant (2018)
USA U18 FIBA Gold Medalist (2018)
Building on his high school and college success, Coby continues to leave his mark in the NBA and with the Bulls franchise, where he holds the single-season record for most three-pointers made at 209.
WHITE Family Mantra
“To whom much is given, much is required. ”

a family affair
Hailing from Goldsboro, North Carolina, the White family is a close-knit team bound by unwavering support and a shared commitment to each other and their community.
Raised by Bonita and Donald White, Tia, Will, and Coby all grew up with strong familial values that continue to guide them throughout life. Unfortunately, only one year after Coby announced his commitment to playing for UNC at Chapel Hill, his father, Donald, passed of cancer in 2017. Still, his father’s presence remains with him, always a part of who he is.
Their family's guiding principle, “To whom much is given, much will be required.” (Luke 12:48), fuels the mission of the Coby White Family Foundation (CWFF).
For My Father
Ever since I was a little kid I remember my dad being the rock of our family.
He always did everything he could to provide for me, my brother and sister, and our mom. It was never easy — he worked the graveyard shift at the factory near our house in Goldsboro, North Carolina — but he never complained about anything. That wasn’t his way.
My dad was also the first person to put a basketball in my hands. He played hoops at North Carolina Central back in the day, so he loved the game and got me into it early. Pretty much as soon as I could hold a basketball, he had me out on the street in front of our double-wide shooting at the hoop he’d set up.
